Established in 2017, ADAS (Architecture Design Art Space) is a culture and art venue located in Seyrantepe. ADAS is home to independent exhibitions and education programs and intends to be a space where art enthusiasts can create resources and engage in social sharing. Many artistic activities such as solo and group exhibitions, collector exhibitions, book launches, art and artist interviews are held in ADAS, where workshops and art invitations are also organized.

Art On Istanbul, established in 2011 by Nil and Oktay Duran, is an interdisciplinary venue where creative ideas are displayed, artistic discussions are made, and training programs take place. Directed by curator and writer Gökşen Buğra, the gallery is home to works of art of young Turkish artists and also international artists, and also serves as a bridge connecting art works with the audience.

Daire Sanat defines itself as an open access, project-based and curatorial focused platform, which is free of commercial concerns, and offers young artists a venue where they can organize their first solo exhibitions. The gallery has hosted curatorial or solo exhibitions of many artists such as Gül Ilgaz, Genco Gülan, İsmet Doğan, Mehmet Ali Uysal, Volkan Aslan since 2008. The gallery program includes exhibitions, independent projects and cooperations, talks and events.

Gallery Nev, a modern art gallery representing artists from Turkey and all over the world since 1987, has paved the way for many contemporary artists such as Canan Tolon, Hale Tenger, İnci Eviner, Murat Morova, Tayfun Erdoğmuş, Alev Ebuzziya, and Ali Kazma. The oldest gallery in Turkey, Gallery Nev also staged exhibitions for names such as Erol Akyavaş and Nejad Devrim. Gallery Nev is also one of the major art publishers in Turkey and supports up and coming young artists.

Established in 2004, x-ist is an art gallery intending to mentor and support young contemporary artists throughout their careers. The gallery has also been representing international artists since 2013 and hosts the works of artists such as Ali Bilge Akkaya, Ansen, Hüseyin Arıcı and Seda Hepsev.

Founded in 2001, Galerist represents artists in Turkey in the national and international arena. Galerist takes part in the world’s leading art events in addition to its ongoing exhibition program in Istanbul. Galerist has supported the art scene in Turkey since 2006 with its on-site culture and art magazine, called ArtUnlimited, and is home to works of many artists such as Ayça Telgeren, Burcu Yağcıoğlu, and Elif Uras.

The Leica Gallery, established by Leica Camera Turkey in Yapı Kredi bomontiada to promote the art of photography, is home to exhibitions of established artists in international platforms and also young artists. The Leica Gallery hosts many exhibitions including Bruno Barbey “My Morocco”, “Horst: Fashion & Portraits”, “Werner Bischof: 1936-1954”, and intends to spread the art of photography to much larger audiences within the region with its program.

With an intention to support the young artists in Turkey both domestically and in the international scene, Mixer has exhibitions, educational programs and art workshops in the program of its venue in Karaköy. The gallery was opened in 2012 by Hamit Hamutçu and hosted exhibitions such as “Walking Distance”, “Four Seasons in May”, and “Green Mold”.

The works of many artists such as Francesco Albano, Can Altay, Koray Ariş, Bora Başkan, and Benji Boyadgian are exhibited at the contemporary art gallery Öktem Aykut, which was founded by Doğa Öktem and Tankut Aykut in 2014.
Pg Art Gallery

The works of emerging young artists in addition to the renowned artists in Turkey are exhibited in the Pg Art Gallery, the contemporary art gallery founded by Pırıl Güleşçi Arıkonmaz in 1993. The Pg Art Gallery includes fairs and projects in addition to exhibitions in its program and hosted many exhibits such as “powoq”, “Lost”, “Quiet Afternoon” last year.

Founded in 1998, Pi Artworks extended its boundaries and moved its headquarters to London. Pi Artworks continues to cooperate with various organizations, art festivals and biennials in Istanbul and was recently home to the works of artists such as Nejat Satı, Gülay Semercioğlu, and Mehmet Ali Uysal.

PILOT Gallery, which defines its objective as “to support creative work, expand the boundaries of the gallery definition and become an inter-disciplinary platform”, presents the works of artists from Turkey and abroad to the audience. PILOT Gallery recently hosted exhibitions such as “Flat Earth / W Axis”, “Beau Ideal”, “A House on Hill ”and “The Sky over Berlin/Der Himmel über Berlin”.
