Heading East

Only a few years ago, Reudnitz became the center of attention of many native and new Leipzigers. The Wilhelminian Quarter in the east of the Saxon city is gaining all sorts of new residents and is now one of the most populous districts in Leipzig.

This is certainly because of the beautiful old apartments and pretty landscaped green areas. Among other things, Reudnitz is famous for its brewery, where, until 2012, Reudnitzer Pilsner and Reudnitzer Ur-Bock were both brewed and, where today the famous beer Sternburg is produced.

Sports fans will also get their fill: As part of the redevelopment of the district, a skate park on Täubchenweg was created, where beginners and real professionals can skate together. If you are in Reudnitz, you can hardly miss the Lene-Voigt-Park. Here, there are beautiful quiet green areas for barbecues and relaxing as well as opportunities for basketball, football and volleyball.

A visit to the Regina Palace is worthwhile for film lovers. The movie theater has seven theaters and shows current movies at reasonable prices.
