A guide created by Norwegian Facebook groups
Oslo is a modern and diverse city, bursting with refreshing experiences and cultural highlights. The compact city center is easy to explore – both on foot, on a bike or with public transport.
Our city is ever growing with new neighborhoods emerging and old neighborhoods developing and transforming. The biggest development is currently happening along the docks of Oslo, where new neighborhoods with museums, restaurants, and parks have opened up the city towards the fjord. At the same time, the forest area Oslomarka and the islands in the Oslo fjord are still there, making Oslo a green city in the summer and a ski destination during the winter.
Oslo is also a true festival city and a paradise for food and coffee enthusiasts. You’ll find anything from exciting street food based on local ingredients to world-class gourmet restaurants and espresso bars.
We in VisitOSLO are happy that local Facebook communities have developed a City Guide to highlight Oslo residents’ favorites for you, whether you’re visiting from abroad, a Norwegian visiting the capital or a local looking for new inspiration. We hope this will inspire you to discover new sides of our city!Christian Lunde
